What to do if the Nokia Software Updater is unable to detect your N95?

According to my own experience, you can do this:

• Disable your computer's firewall and anti-virus applications and try again.
• If failed, uninstall Nokia Software Updater and reinstall it while your computer's firewall and anti-virus applications are still off.
• If failed again, find another computer which doesn't have Nokia PC Suite installed. Install the Nokia Software Updater on this computer with its firewall and anti-virus programs turned off. Now, connect your N95 to this computer and on your cell phone side, select "PC Suite mode". And continue with the step by step instruction from Nokia Software Updater. At this time, your should be doing fine. If not, I can't help you any further.
